So my title has nothing to do with what the main post is about. It's just a side note of what just happened. I'm sitting here eating my lunch and a random person came up to me and was about to sit down, but he took a GOOD look at me and said "Oops I'm sorry and walked off". Apparently he thought I was the Asian girl he was suppose to have a meeting with. (haha!) I guess to many Caucasians, all Asians look alike.
Anyways, the downpour continues here in Seattle. Update from last time: I ended up going on Saturday .. as lazy as I was.. Conclusion: Saturday night > Friday night.
It was great. I already knew a few people there so I didn't have to work as hard to strike up conversations. The guy to girl ratio was in my favor.. as in more guys than girls. hehe Everyone came from different departments so pretty interesting to hear their experiences. One guy especially was easy to talk to. Not awkward at all... He talked about his trips to Europe etc. Each description was pretty vivid. Fun stuff. I can see the makings of a beautiful.... friendship. Who knows what might happen? His cousin was excited to tell me that guy is single after all. But, by far the best piece of information from that night was learning about gay terminology.
It all started out with how a couple of guys there got hit on at the gay bars/clubs. Then, one of the guys told us how he got hit on by mostly the "0"s so he guessed that makes him a 1. Uhh what? 0? 1? Programming terms? haha kidding. Anyway, 0 meant the more feminine gays and 1 meant the more masculine gays. So 0's pair up with 1's. Go figure. That pretty much sealed that guy's fate. We mercilessly teased him. His excuse was to protect himself. Riiight. Yeah, that guy has had some unique experiences with gays... Truly a guy magnet. :)
Wednesday is a holiday and I will spend that right in my beloved work building studying for my class. Sense the enthusiasm?
